I'm Johanna. I'm a systems thinker, artist, and product person. I usually keep a handful of little projects spinning. [More about me →]

Art practice

My work is driven by repetition and accumulation, often through documenting ordinary life. Sometimes I start with a finished project in mind; other times I start doing something and only later realize there’s something there. I think a lot about that moment when something begins to take shape from a tiny impulse or repeated action, and I start to feel a responsibility to keep going: to care for the process, the ritual, and the thing that becomes greater than the sum of its parts.
